I have decided to pick up the paints after a 40 year break – give or take the odd attempt!!
The bigger the canvas the quicker I work – so its all a bit hit and miss, but I hope with time that will refine my style. I know what I want to do – but getting there is not going to be straightforward. Gotta keep it loose, fresh and busy!
My goal is at least 4 pieces a month – and I need to limit myself cos on a good day I would do 4 pieces, cover the floor and splash the walls in one sitting!!
So is this relaxation or selfish escapism? We will see. May just end up as (s)crap!!
Medium is acrylic on canvas. With lots of charcoal. Its not sophisticated – as I am just learning as I go along.
But its great fun and provides plenty of room for improvement!!
By month starting with Feb 09.
You will note that when the sun shone the painting dried up! Coincidence maybe??
